How to use Any Outlook Express Backup

Any Outlook Express Backup enables you to backup and restore your Microsoft Outlook Express Data:

Rules:
Any Outlook Express Backup recognizes the user's rules created in Microsoft Outlook Express and enables the user to backup those rules.

Email/News accounts:
Any Outlook Express Backup allow user to backup all accounts created, These accounts can be e-mail accounts provided by the user's ISP, any POP3 e-mail account the user owns whether free or paid for, Internet news accounts or Hotmail accounts.

Messages:

Any Outlook Express Backup allow user to backup all email messages, newsgroup messages and mail folders.

Address Book:
Any Outlook Express Backup allow user to backup Windows Address Book (with file extension .wab).

Block Senders list:
Microsoft Outlook Express allows the user to block certain addresses. Any Outlook Express Backup enables the user to backup and restore the list created in the “Block Senders” category.

Signatures:
The signatures used at the end of email messages can also be backed up and restored using Any Outlook Express Backup.

Stationery:

Backup

You must close Outlook Express and Windows Messenger, Don't run them during the backup process.

Step 1: Choose an Identity to backup. The list of identities allows you to choose which identities will be included in the backup file.

Step 2: You must select at least one item to backup, otherwise an error message will be shown.

Step 3: Choose a backup filename. The backup file must be given a filename, Please click "browse" button to composes a filename(*.aoe). If you want password protect the backup data, please select "Protect backup file with password" item and enter your password.

Step 4: Enter Description of the backup file.

Step 5: Click "Backup Now" button ,The Backup will was completed.

Step 6: If you need to backup your data to CD/DVD, Please Click "Backup data to CD/DVD" Menu to burn your CD or DVD.

Restore

You must close Outlook Express and Windows Messenger, Don't run them during the restore process.

Step 1: Choose a Backup File to restore, Please click "browse" button to select a backup file(*.aoe), It will ask for the password if the password protection for this backup file was enabled. please input the correct password and click "OK" to continue.

Step 2: You must select at least one item to restore, otherwise an error message will be shown.

Step 3: Choose a target identities to restore.

Step 4: Click "Restore Now" button, The Restore will was completed.

Schedule automatic backup

To display the Schedule settings please click on the "Option/Task Scheduler" menu.

In the the screen you have the following controls:

Identities List Here you can check the Identities you would like to backup.
Items List you can check or uncheck the items you desire.
Password you can use password to protect your backup file.

You can easily setup to have the Email Data backed up daily, weekly and at the time of the day of your choice.

Under the controls mentioned above you have the Backup Folder and Backup file name, where you can select the folder and file name where the scheduled backups should be created.

Using Password Protection

You can protect your backup file with a password to prevent unwanted access to your Outlook Express data. To enable password protection, check the 'Protect File with a Password' checkbox. This will enable the password fields below the checkbox.

For security reasons, Both password fields must match, otherwise Any Outlook Express Backup will show an error message and will not allow you to proceed to the backup procedure. Be sure to remember the password because there is no way to recover it if it is lost.

Backup Your Data to CD/DVD

Outlook Express Backup enables you to backup directly to DVD/CD. Any Outlook Express Backup Built-in mini CD/DVD Burner, You also can backup other data to Your CD or DVD.
